This Is The BMW M3 Rival Jaguar Will Never Build

German tuner Ardent takes Jaguar XE to whole new level.

As much as we would love to see it, a Jaguar XE SVR probably isn't going to happen. In a recent interview with , Senior programs manager for SVO, Duncan Smith, downplayed reports that Jaguar was planning to use the XE to compete with BMW M or Mercedes-AMG. Good thing then that German tuner Arden has worked its magic on the XE S by extracting more performance out of the sedan’s supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine. In stock form, the Jaguar XE’s six-cylinder unit develops 380 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque.
Arden clearly didn’t think this was enough power, and has cranked up the V6 to deliver an extra 83 ponies and 98 lb-ft of torque, bringing the total output to 463 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. What we have here, then, is a BMW M3 rival Jaguar will never build. The tuner hasn’t supplied any performance figures, but the XE S is already faster than the standard model. If you need a recap, the stock XE S can hit 0-62 mph in 4.9 seconds before topping out at 155 mph, so this aftermarket version should improve that sprint time by a few tenths of a second. As well as tinkering under the hood, Arden has also customized the exterior, giving the sedan a sportier look as well as optimizing airflow.
New parts included in the aerodynamic package include a custom hood with dual vents, a large rear wing, and a sporty diffuser. The sides of the XE at the front and rear wheel arches have also been enlarged to fit wider tires wrapped around ultralight forged 20-inch wheels. Inside, the modified XE S features embroidered floor mats and leather upholstery, but no photos of the cabin have been provided.
