This Alfa Romeo Supercar Is The Stuff Of Dreams

We'd love to see something like this turned into a reality.

Alfa Romeo had of the 1952 1900 C52 “Disco Volante,” and we think the Italian carmaker will be equally impressed with Alex Imnadze’s latest creation. Having recently penned his vision of the and gave us food for thought with his , the Italian rendering artist has turned his attention to creating this avant-garde Alfa Romeo supercar concept.

Inspired by the original 1952 Disco Volante and the Alfa Romeo 6C, which was in production between 1927 and 1954, Alex says the main design language for his futuristic design is based on a woman’s body. There’s no word on what would power such a sexy car, but we think the Alfa Romeo 8C’s 4.7-liter V8 would do the trick. That’s the same powertrain that the modern-day Disco Volante utilized, with 450 horsepower on tap and the ability to sprint from zero to 62 mph in 4.2 seconds. Alternatively, the Ferrari-derived 90-degree 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 with 505 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque could do the trick.

The sublime sedan clocks 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds and can reach a top speed of 191 mph. Alfa recently posted some and we hope this trend continues. With a couple more years of growth in the US, who knows? Maybe there’ll be scope for a supercar halo project akin to what Alex has dreamed up here.
