The Last Ever Pagani Huayra Coupe Is Inspired By Lewis Hamilton

We’ve already seen the one-off Pagani Huayra Il Ultimo previewed in renders, but it looks even better in the metal.

It’s the end of an era. First introduced in 2011 as a successor to the Zonda, the Pagani Huayra hypercar was always going to be limited to just 100 examples – and this is the .

Aptly named the Il Ultimo, which is Italian for “the last,” the final Huayra Coupe was inspired by the livery on F1 driver Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes-AMG racecar. The resulting design is subtle but distinctive – this might just be the ultimate example of the Italian hypercar, so it's a fitting sendoff. After eight months of development, the one-off L’Ultimo has finished production and was recently delivered to its new owner: David Brett, the CEO of Prestige Imports in Miami.

According to duPontRegistry, David worked closely with Pagani during the car’s development to create the ultimate Huayra and was even given a live connection to Pagani’s factory in San Cesario, Italy, allowing him to view the car in virtual 3D. Pagani also uses this technology to let customers customize their cars.

Like the standard Huayra Coupe, the L’Ultimo is powered by an AMG-sourced 6.0-liter V12, which has been tuned to deliver 789 hp and 811 lb-ft of torque. The design is essentially a greatest hits compilation that borrows elements from other Huayra models such as the and the .

It features the Tempesta’s carbon front splitter, panels, side skirts and rear diffuser as well as a hood scoop, full-width rear wing, and exposed carbon fiber with Petronas turquoise accents inspired by Lewis Hamilton’s racing livery. Inside, the same accents have been applied to the door panels, center stack and flooring, contrasted with white leather seats.

With production of the Huayra Coupe now finished, Pagani will now focus on the Roadster, which will soon be getting a hardcore BC version. Like the coupe, the Huayra Roadster is also limited to just 100 examples.
