The one-off Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo Concept now has a new home in California.
Back in 2015, . Though it was essentially a precursor to the Chiron, it never went into production since it was a one-off concept car designed specifically for the Gran Turismo video game series. Last year, an extremely wealthy Saudi Prince . However, it looks like they’ve parted ways with the concept, because a rich California-based car collector has now snapped up the Bugatti Vision GT.
YouTube channel TheStradman and documented the Bugatti Vision GT's arrival as it was picked up from the airport in Los Angeles where it was gingerly loaded onto a truck before being delivered to the car collector’s home in California. We also get a tour of the owner’s garage which stores an exquisite collection of exotic supercars including the McLaren P1, Ferrari LaFerrari, and the first customer example of the Lamborghini Centenario Roadster. Upon delivery, the Bugatti Vision GT was parked alongside the owner’s unique Veyron Vitesese. The Vision GT is one of the most extreme cars Bugatti has ever designed as a celebration of the prestigious manufacturer’s racing history.
Its design is inspired by the Bugatti Type 57 that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in 1937 and 1939. Every part of the striking exterior has a purpose, from the center fin and low rear diffuser, to the ‘eight-eye’ LED lights developed specifically for the concept. Considering it’s the only example in the world, it’s safe to say the Vision GT would have commanded a very steep asking price.
The stripped out interior looks like something out of a spaceship, with an illuminated F1-style steering wheel, aluminium pedals and luxurious leather upholstery. Powering this beast is an 8-liter W16 engine similar to the Veyron that sends 1,650 hp to all four wheels. The sound it makes is absolutely earth shattering when it gets started up in the garage. A Bugatti Chiron will set you back around $2 - $3 million, so we wouldn’t be surprised if the Vision GT is valued at double or even triple that.
